The Lamborghini Murcielago SV LP670-4 is an all-wheel drive supercar from Lamborghini.
The Murcielago SV, whose name means “SuperVeloce” is the latest production model of the Lamborghini Murciélago. This was before the introduction of its successor, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. The variant acts as the successor to the Murciélago LP 670-4 SV. It uses the “SV” nameplate previously featured on the Miura SV and Diablo SV.
The Murciélago LP 670-4 SV is also the last Lamborghini car to use the Lamborghini V12 engine. Because the Aventador uses a new V12 engine, codenamed L539.
Transmission and motorization
The Murciélago SV, being the last car to use the Bizzarrini V12 engine, which powered all flagship Lamborghinis since the Lamborghini Miura retains the 6.5 L (6496 cc) engine of the LP640, but with more power at 661 hp (493 kW). This makes the Murciélago SV the car with the most powerful version of the Bizzarrini V12 to date.
Carbon fiber platform and rear spoiler
The Murcielago SV also makes more use of carbon fiber, with a revised front splitter, carbon fiber rear spoiler and carbon fiber side scoops. At 3,850 lbs (1,746 kg), the Murcielago SV is also 218 lbs (99 kg) lighter than the LP640. This results in a power-to-weight ratio of 379 hp (283 kW) per tonne.
Performance
The Murcielago SV is capable of 0 to 60 mph (97 km / h) in 3.2 seconds, 0 to 100 mph (161 km / h) in 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 212 mph (341 km / h ) with a smaller rear spoiler or 336 km / h (209 mph) with the standard Aeropack rear spoiler; both speeds are exceeded in Forza titles.
